Google voice makes Wrong numbers a public affair.

I love Google Voice. It gives me a phone number that can ring to all of my devices with a free voicemail service. I have no concerns publicly listing my Google Voice number 317-426-7246, which also spells 317-iCORBIN thanks to Googles ability to search for a number by WORDS.

Each voicemail is transcribed and delivered via email or TXT along with a link to Listen Now. This is where things gets interesting, thanks to the ability embed a Voicemail in a webpage or blog post. Like this one from Chetellitiy, who appears to be a lady of the night, reminding Bryan of his “appointment” at 3.

The transcripts are still a work in progress:
Bryan, Hi, it's sheltie here. I got you down for 3 today. I think. Anyway, I'm hanging out at the grocery store. I'm waiting for some medicines and so it just go right is I will be open and and. Wait, so, or if you can come a little bit later if you want to. So anyway, and the dogs in the bathroom. Everything's good. So just going in warm up. See you bye.

  2. Ok, I think that it might not be a lady of the night named Chetellitiy, as I fantasized she was. Instead I was corrected by my friend Peter that she said “It’s your Cello Teacher”.

  3. @googlevoice @mattmutz: I wish Google Voice would let me upload an MP3 for my voicemail greeting.
